International Point of Care Inc. offers a range of ELISA test kits for the detection of biochemical markers (S100, NSE, MBP)* for the early assessment of brain injury in human serum.
The ELISA test kits are packaged in a 96 well plate format. End-users may run 88 single samples and 8 standards and controls (supplied) per kit. Detection is achieved by measuring absorbance on a standard ELISA plate reader. The ELISA test kits are for Research use only and are not for use in diagnostic procedures.
MYELIN BASIC PROTIEN (MPB)*
Catalog Number: EL-10004
Myelin Basic Protein (MBP) is the major component of myelin and is localized in the myelin sheath.
NEURON-SPECIFIC ENOLASE (NSE)*
Catalog Number: EL-19902
Neuron-Specific Enolase (NSE) is found primarily in the cytoplasm of neurons and neuroendocrine cells. The enzyme enolase exists as three isoproteins with each protein being the product of a separate gene. The native enzymes are found as homodimeric or heterodimeric isoforms composed of three immunologically distinct subunits α, β, or γ.
S-100*
Catalog Number: EL-19801
The S-100 protein is an acidic calcium binding protein found predominantly in the cytoplasm of astrocytes and Schwann cells in the central nervous system. In human brain tissue, S-100 exists mainly as two isoforms - the ßß homodimer (S-100ß) and the aß heterodimer (S-100a). A third isoform - the aa homodimer (S-100aa) is found mainly in striated muscle, heart, and kidney.
